Waecicu and Sture is a relaxed dive site near Labuan Bajo, the gateway town to Komodo National Park on Flores, offering an easy and colorful reef dive in the sheltered waters of the bay. The site features a gentle coral slope descending from 3 to about 18 meters with good hard and soft coral coverage, providing habitat for a diverse community of reef fish including sweetlips, angelfish, and parrotfish. Cuttlefish and octopus are regularly spotted, along with blue-spotted stingrays resting on the sand. The shallow depth and calm conditions make it ideal for beginner divers, check dives, and night diving sessions. Sea turtles visit the reef, and the surrounding sand hosts garden eels and shrimp gobies. As a convenient shore or short boat dive from Labuan Bajo, Waecicu and Sture serves as a pleasant warm-up dive before heading to the more challenging sites of Komodo National Park.
