Lazy Wave

Lazy Wave is an advanced dive in the Secret Gilis of Southwest Lombok, despite its relaxed name offering a reef slope that descends to 20 meters with conditions that can shift from gentle to demanding depending on tidal movements. The site features beautiful coral gardens dominated by massive Porites boulders and table corals that provide shade for resting turtles and hunting lionfish. The slightly deeper sections reveal impressive barrel sponges and sea fans that thrive in the consistent nutrient flow. Cuttlefish are a highlight here, often spotted performing their spectacular mating displays among the coral formations. The site's western orientation provides stunning late-afternoon light conditions for photography when the sun angles through the water column.
