Johnny's Gorge is an intermediate dive site in the Andaman Islands, India, featuring an impressive underwater gorge that cuts through the reef to 26 meters depth. The gorge walls are covered with pristine hard corals, gorgonian fans, and soft coral growth that creates a colorful corridor of marine life. Schools of batfish, fusiliers, and surgeonfish fill the gorge, while whitetip reef sharks occasionally rest on the sandy floor below. The site is particularly notable for its Napoleon wrasse encounters—these large, curious fish often approach divers closely, providing memorable interactions. Sea fans of impressive size line the gorge walls, their delicate structures filtering the current that flows through the narrow passage. Johnny's Gorge is one of the Andaman Islands' signature dive sites, combining dramatic topography with the pristine reef conditions and abundant marine life that make these remote Indian Ocean islands a world-class diving destination.
