Greek Columns is an advanced dive off the coast of Taormina in eastern Sicily, where ancient Greek marble columns — likely lost during transport — rest scattered on the seabed at 40 meters depth. These archaeological treasures from Magna Graecia create a surreal underwater museum alongside the natural volcanic reef. Marine growth has partially colonized the columns without obscuring their classical form. Grouper and moray eels have claimed spaces between the fallen columns. A truly extraordinary dive combining deep exploration with a direct connection to the ancient Greek civilization that shaped Sicily's cultural identity.
