Punta Timone

Punta Timone is a beginner-friendly dive near Capo Galera off Alghero, offering a gentle introduction to Sardinia's northwestern underwater world at a maximum depth of 18 meters. The rocky reef features low walls and scattered boulders covered in colorful Mediterranean sponges, small gorgonians, and Posidonia beds. Octopus, moray eels, and ornate wrasse are commonly encountered, while schools of salema graze on the algae-covered rocks. The sheltered position and moderate depth make this ideal for training dives, with Alghero's historic Catalan architecture visible from the water during surface intervals.
