Scoglio d'Inferno — 'Hell Rock' — is an intermediate dive near Capo Galera off Alghero, where a dramatic offshore rock creates turbulent waters at the surface but a fascinating underwater landscape below. The rocky reef descends to 19 meters through boulder fields, small caves, and gorgonian-covered walls. The site's exposed position attracts larger Mediterranean species including grouper, barracuda, and occasional eagle rays. Despite its ominous name, the underwater scenery is beautiful and accessible, offering intermediate divers an exciting taste of Alghero's wilder, more exposed dive sites.
