The Dolmen is an advanced dive near Capo Galera off Alghero, named for a massive flat boulder balanced on smaller rocks that creates a formation resembling a prehistoric dolmen. This striking geological feature at 30 meters provides shelter for large grouper and lobsters, while the surrounding walls host dense gorgonian gardens and bright sponge fields. The deeper sections reveal patches of Mediterranean red coral. Strong currents can sweep through the area, requiring solid buoyancy and navigation skills. A unique dive combining natural rock art with outstanding Sardinian marine biodiversity.

Absolutely stunning dive site. The visibility was exceptional and we spotted several species we had never seen before. Will definitely come back.
Great spot for advanced divers. Currents can be tricky but the marine life makes it worth it.
One of the best dive sites in the region. Highly recommended.
