The Colonnade is an advanced dive near Capo Galera off Alghero, featuring a stunning natural formation of pillar-like rock columns rising from the seabed at 18 meters. These columnar structures, formed by the dissolution and erosion of limestone over millennia, create an awe-inspiring underwater hall that gives the site its classical name. Gorgonians and bright sponges decorate the columns, while grouper and moray eels patrol between them. The play of sunlight through the columns creates mesmerizing light patterns on the sandy floor — one of Sardinia's most architecturally impressive dive sites.
