Scannella is a beginner-friendly dive off Ventotene island in the Pontine archipelago, where a rocky reef at accessible depth provides an excellent introduction to the islands' rich marine environment. The volcanic rock formations host colorful sponges, small gorgonians, and dense Posidonia meadows where seahorses and pipefish may be spotted. Schools of bream and damselfish fill the water column, while octopus hunt along the rocky perimeter. The protected marine reserve ensures abundant marine life, making Scannella a relaxing and rewarding dive in the crystal-clear Pontine waters.
