Nomads is a beginner-friendly dive site off the northern end of Diani Beach in Kenya, named after a nearby beach lodge. The site features a shallow reef system with excellent coral gardens extending over a gentle sandy slope. The reef's northern position along the Diani coast places it in an area that benefits from good water circulation, maintaining healthy coral conditions and supporting a vibrant fish community. Large table corals dominate the shallower sections, providing shade for resting turtles and schooling fish below. Anemone gardens are particularly well-developed here, hosting families of anemonefish in multiple species. The site is known for reliable turtle encounters — both green and hawksbill turtles frequent the area, often allowing patient divers to observe their feeding behavior closely. Nomads' combination of easy access, warm clear water, and charismatic marine life make it one of Diani's most enjoyable introductory dives.
