Giraffe is a beginner-friendly dive site near Koh Rong Samloem, Cambodia, named for a tall, slender rock formation that rises from the seabed to 14 meters like a giraffe's neck. This distinctive landmark serves as the site's focal point, with its surface richly colonized by encrusting sponges, soft corals, and small gorgonians. The surrounding area features scattered coral bommies over a sandy substrate, each hosting its own community of reef fish. Anemones with clownfish are found throughout, and nudibranchs are particularly abundant during the cooler months. Schools of fusiliers pass through, and cuttlefish are regularly spotted hunting among the coral formations. The shallow depth allows extended bottom times perfect for patient observation and macro photography. Giraffe's whimsical character and easy conditions make it a favorite for fun dives and discovery sessions in the Koh Rong Samloem area.
