Three Bears is a beginner-friendly dive site near Koh Rong Samloem, Cambodia, named for three distinctive rock formations that rise from the seabed like the three bears of the fairy tale — one large, one medium, and one small. Each rock is encrusted with corals, sponges, and hydroids, creating individual micro-ecosystems that divers can explore in sequence. The largest formation hosts the most impressive coral growth, with gorgonian fans and soft corals decorating its flanks. Schools of cardinalfish shelter in the crevices between the rocks, while moray eels peer from their dens. Nudibranchs are particularly abundant around the smallest rock, where encrusting organisms provide food for a remarkable diversity of sea slugs. The sandy areas between the three formations attract blue-spotted stingrays and cuttlefish. Three Bears is a charming site that offers a focused, manageable dive with clear navigation landmarks.
