Anemones Alley in Nova Scotia is an advanced dive site where a narrow rocky channel between granite walls is completely carpeted with giant plumose anemones. These magnificent white and orange anemones can reach over 30 centimeters tall, creating a stunning corridor effect that gives the site its name. The cold, nutrient-rich waters of the Atlantic support this dense growth, along with colonies of northern red anemones and frilled anemones. The channel also shelters large lobsters, ocean pout, and schools of pollock. The depth and current require advanced skills, but the visual spectacle of thousands of swaying anemones is unforgettable.
