Mill Cove in Nova Scotia is a beginner-friendly shore dive in a quiet cove that was once home to a sawmill, remnants of which can still be found underwater. Old mill timbers and metal hardware create interesting artificial structure on the bottom, now heavily colonized by marine organisms. The mix of old mill artifacts and natural rocky reef makes for a fascinating dive combining history with marine biology. Lobsters have claimed the old timber structures, while sea stars and anemones cover the metal remains. The cove's calm waters and shallow depth make it perfect for extended exploration of this underwater heritage site.
