Ovens Point at Rose Bay in Nova Scotia is a beginner-friendly shore dive near the famous Ovens Natural Park, where sea caves have been carved into the rocky coastline. The underwater terrain mirrors the dramatic surface geology with interesting rock formations, channels, and small caverns at shallow depth. The rocky substrate supports dense kelp growth and typical cold-water species including lobsters, sea stars, and urchins. The site's connection to the Ovens park makes it a great addition to a day visiting the sea caves above water. Calm conditions in the sheltered bay provide comfortable diving for all levels.
