Prudent in Nova Scotia is an intermediate wreck dive on a vessel that came to rest on the province's rocky coastline. The wreck provides valuable hard structure in the marine environment, attracting concentrated marine life. The hull sections are covered with cold-water growth including anemones, hydroids, and encrusting sponges. Schools of pollock circle the wreck, and large lobsters have established territories within the wreck structure. The moderate depth requires intermediate certification and proper cold-water gear. The combination of maritime history and thriving marine ecosystem creates an engaging dive experience.
