Second Peninsula in Nova Scotia is a beginner-friendly shore dive on a rocky peninsula near Lunenburg, a UNESCO World Heritage fishing town. The underwater terrain features granite ledges and boulder fields descending from shore, covered with healthy kelp forest. The rich waters near Lunenburg Harbour support abundant lobsters, rock crabs, and diverse sea star populations. Cunner and sculpin are common fish residents, and the occasional harbour seal appears. The site's proximity to historic Lunenburg makes it an excellent add-on to a cultural visit, and the moderate conditions welcome divers of all experience levels during the summer season.
