The Bluff in Nova Scotia is an advanced dive site on an exposed headland where dramatic underwater cliffs drop into deep Atlantic waters. The vertical rock face plunges from the surface to well beyond recreational limits, with ledges and overhangs along the way hosting impressive cold-water communities. Giant plumose anemones, colonies of dead man's fingers, and fields of northern sea stars cover the wall. The exposed position means strong currents and swell are common, but the wall diving experience rivals anything in Atlantic Canada. Grey seals, large cod, and occasional ocean sunfish have been spotted here. Expert-level current management skills are essential.
