Épave du Pinella is a shallow wreck dive near Bonifacio in southern Corsica, lying at just 12 meters depth in the crystal-clear waters of the Bouches de Bonifacio. Despite its shallow depth, the site is rated advanced due to currents that can be strong in the strait. The Pinella wreck is a compact vessel whose remains are scattered across a sandy bottom fringed by Posidonia meadows. The wreck has become a shelter for a variety of marine life including octopuses, groupers, and shoals of sea bream. The shallow depth and exceptional water clarity allow plenty of bottom time and create ideal conditions for underwater photography. A great addition to a day exploring the Bonifacio area's diverse dive sites.
