Lavezzi Città delle Cernie (City of Groupers) is a spectacular dive site in the Lavezzi Islands archipelago, located in the Strait of Bonifacio between Corsica and Sardinia. True to its name, this site is famous for its resident population of large dusky groupers that have thrived under the protection of the Bouches de Bonifacio Nature Reserve. Massive granite boulders create an underwater labyrinth of swim-throughs and overhangs draped in red coral and yellow gorgonians. The crystal-clear waters offer exceptional visibility often exceeding 30 meters. Suitable for all levels, this site delivers one of the most memorable encounters with Mediterranean marine life.
