Ped is an advanced muck diving site off Nusa Penida, Bali, known for extraordinary macro critter encounters on its black sand slopes. The site is one of the best in Bali for finding rare and unusual species including mimic octopuses, hairy frogfish, blue-ringed octopuses, and flamboyant cuttlefish. The dark volcanic sand provides dramatic contrast for photography, and the rubble zones host ornate ghost pipefish and Coleman shrimp on fire urchins. Despite the unassuming bottom composition, Ped ranks among Southeast Asia's premier muck diving destinations for dedicated macro enthusiasts.
